Tony has 20+ years of experience at the intersection of diplomacy, investment banking and strategy consulting with a particular focus on economic development strategy for nations and cities, infrastructure development strategy and cross-border investment facilitation for strategic investment projects.
Tony was a Senior Partner at Monitor Deloitte in the Middle East and previously a global account manager at the strategy consultancy Monitor Group prior to its acquisition by Deloitte in 2013. He was a senior member of Monitor’s national economic development and security practice and has worked with the highest levels of leadership in government to help formulate medium and long term strategic plans for national and city development. He has also worked closely with leaders in government on national infrastructure development policy, prioritisation frameworks and the design and launch of strategic infrastructure delivery units at the top and centre of government. Tony has also development a cluster development strategy to upgrade the competitiveness of a construction, engineering and housing cluster of a Middle East country.
Earlier in his career Tony was National Business Development Manager for the Mega Projects practice at Freehills (now Freehills Herbert Smith) and was an Associate in the Government & Privatisation practice in the Investment Banking division of Deutsche Bank Australia. Tony began his career as a diplomat with the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
Tony is a graduate of Harvard, Monash and Sydney Universities. He has lived and advised clients in Australia, Asia, the United States, Middle East, Africa and Europe.
